Since we did not get a chance to write this at the time everything was going on here is the rest of what happened during Labor and Delivery.
Tia then decided to take a nap since she was now feeling comfortable due to the epidural. She napped for quite some time and when she awoke she was feeling pains in the left side of her abdomen. With the help of Cameron the nurse decided to turn her to her left side to try to get the meds to drop down to her left side more. Once she was turned the nurse decided that she should check Tia. Tia was dilated to a 9 plus just a little more and 100 percent effaced. They then re-hooked up her external monitoring. However they could not get the baby’s heartbeat to stay on him. Every time they found it he would then kick the monitoring piece and move. They decided that they should hook up internal monitoring for the heartbeat even though they knew that it was pointless because they needed his heartbeat. So they then hooked that up and the moment it was all hooked up they discovered that Tia was fully dilated. (See it was basically pointless.) So they put her back onto her back and called for the doctor. Tia then pushed for an hour. Everything went well and there was no other help to get Clayton out. She did rip a little but it was small...only 2 stitches. YAY! After Clayton was born Tia was FREEZING! They cleaned him up and she tried to get warm....
