We are finally getting involved in things here on Okinawa more. YAY! Things are finally seeming more normal. We have started to make some new friends and we are getting out of the house more often.
This Sunday we both received callings at church. Cameron was called to be a Ward Missionary and Tia was called to serve in the Primary as Secretary. We are both excited to begin our new callings and we trust that the Lord will guide us.
Cameron is doing good at work. This month he has been working a crazy shift. He is working Midnight to Noon on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. He is the shift supervisor and he has been enjoying it. He does good working funny shifts. Clayton and I however can't wait until it is over because it makes keeping the car for church difficult. The reason for this is that by the time we leave to take Cameron to work Clayton has already been in bed for awhile and by the time we get home from dropping Cameron off (about midnight) Clayton decides he is done with sleep. Then we can only stay for sacrament meeting so that we can pick Cameron up from work. So it makes for a LONG Sunday. But ultimately what matters is that we make it to church.
This past weekend Cameron bought himself some fishing gear! He has been wanting to fish for such a long time and so we figured why not! We spent the weekend going fishing! Clayton even had the chance to help Cameron out. For the most part Tia just entertained Clayton and relaxed outside. It was a lot of fun!
The view...beautiful!
Our little set up. We wanted to try to give Clayton shade the whole time. We did not need a burnt little boy!

Mother and son...
Father and son...
On Thursday Tia had her friend Amanda over for lunch. Tia made homemade pesto and a salad. They then just enjoyed each others company and played some games. It was a lot of fun and Tia is excited that she is making friends quickly!
Tia signed up for school this past week as well. She signed up at the University Of Maryland University Collage. She is excited to be starting classes in August. For this terms first session she will be taking Beginner Japanese I and she is hoping that the next session she will be able to handle even more courses. As she learns Japanese she will be teaching Cameron what she learns. We are both excited to learn more about the culture here as well as the language.
Clayton is growing way to fast. He rolls around all over the floor and does an army crawl type thing. If we put him on the floor he does not stay where we put him for long. He enjoys his freedom to explore! He is also getting closer to crawling. He will be up on his hands and knees and he will start to begin moving and then fall to his belly. It will be happening soon enough! He also does push ups.
He talks our ears off and he LOVES food! He is such a joy to us!
Just hanging out in the kitchen while mom cooks...
More belly time...

For those that want to know we are now on Facebook. We were finally talked into it.
So far we LOVE the island! It is such a beautiful place and the people are absolutely amazing! We are excited for the opportunity to be over here and we will embrace our short time here!
P.S. What do you think of our new header?
