2010 UPDATE

Hello Everyone from the Knudsen’s!!

First of all we would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! It’s amazing just how fast the years go by and we would just like to remind everyone to take the time to enjoy it! Life is great, what's the rush, enjoy it! We are only here for a short time so why miss out?

This year for Christmas Cameron was sadly in North Pole Alaska. On the plus side we can say he was helping Santa's Elves incorporate AFSO 21 into the system. LOL! So we ended up celebrating Christmas in an odd sort of way. Cameron opened his gifts the night before he left. Then Clayton got to open a present a day. Then Cameron got to share in the chance to open gifts with us that we got in the mail once he got home. Also on Christmas Eve Clayton and Tia went to a friend from church's house for dinner. We had a delicious soup and then we all sat around and sang Christmas Songs for an hour or two. Once we were done singing we opened Christmas Eve gifts (they even got one for Clayton a board book). We then read through the Christmas story. On Christmas Day we went to our friends Mike and Alicia's house for their sons birthday. We had a ham dinner and it was delicious.

Cameron THANKFULLY got sent home from his TDY early and was able to share New Years Day with us. So we went to a Buddhist Temple with our friends Angie and Eric. While at the Temple we got our fortunes told which is a tradition here. Thankfully both of our outlooks for the year are good and according to them Childbirth is going to be easy and no problem this year...LOL So lets just hope we will get pregnant this year... that was a good predication and it would be wonderful. But then if it does not happen all is well... Hopefully I will get a chance to post some pictures soon.

Clayton is going to be turning one! We are having a small birthday party for him on January 30. We will be having cake and ice cream and Clayton even picked the theme himself. It is Winnie the Pooh. Tia WAS going to do a Curious George theme but Clayton feel in love with Winnie the Pooh when we were in the party store. So it will have to do. We will let you all know how it goes! We can’t believe that a year has passed since he was brought into our lives! We both Love being parents to such a Wonderful little man! Clayton is growing up so quickly and we cherish every moment that we get to spend with him. He is a very happy little man and he loves to explore the world! Every moment that he is awake he is on the go. He is running all over the place now and he climbs up onto EVERYTHING! He is fearless! His favorite place is to be outdoors! He loves going to the park and always hates to leave! He loves the sunshine and finding new treasures outside. He is now eating everything that we eat and he shares his dads love for Twizzlers. We are always excited to see what he will do next.

As for the two of us we are doing marvelous! We love our new home and we have settled in quite nicely. It is nice to live by such a great park and we really enjoy taking Clayton! We have started running in the park 3-4 times a week and we run 3k and are going to be moving up to 5k soon. Running is a nice thing to do together and we have found a love for it. Also, to keep us busy we have been going bowling once a week and we go golfing every chance we get. One of our goals is to be more active and actually DO stuff not just sit around and hang out. We want to teach Clayton to be an active little man (Although he really does not need help in that area).

Right now we are currently planning a trip to the other side of the island for a few nights. We think that it is time for a vacation together. We are not sure on the dates yet but we are very excited to be planning this. Especially after having Tia and Clayton be in the states away from Cameron for so long. Then right when we got back Cameron left on a last minute TDY to Alaska. So we want to just have some FAMILY time. Because ultimately that’s what matters the most.

Cameron is working on his schooling lately. He is hoping to have his Associates Degree by the end of the year. So wish him luck there. He is also working like crazy! For those of you that did not know Cameron has earned another rank. He is going to be sewing on Staff Sergeant soon. He is also studying for his 7 level at work. Although due to the test being compromised we are seeing no end to that as of right now. So we will keep you updated on that. He also is getting ready for an upcoming PT (Physical Training) Test. Which he never has a problem with but its something else he is preparing for this year.

Tia has been keeping busy with her church calling. She is the Primary Secretary and with the new year she has had plenty to keep her busy. She has been updating paperwork, making bulletin boards and helping out in any other way possible. She is also enjoying Visiting Teaching. For the first time she is putting all her efforts into trying to be a good Visiting Teacher and she has developed a love for it. She is also temporarily babysitting a little boy during the day. He is 3 months old and Tia will be watching him probably through February. Then who knows what she will be doing!

We have a new addition to our family. His name is Toby Dadada (Claytons choice) Knudsen. He is a 8-10 week old Oki-Mix puppy. We have enjoyed our new friend and we are excited to have him around. Clayton absolutely LOVES having a puppy! It is a lot of fun to see the two chase each other around they have a blast!

Well we hope that everyone is doing well! We love and miss you all! Have a WONDERFUL 2010!

  1. Did you guys by chance get our card? I'd love to be able to try for a baby this year. We're still hoping things will be better. Reggie is finally getting some recognition at work which might be a good sign. Also I'm applying for the census this year. Keep us in your prayers if you would :)

I'm so happy for you guys. I love reading your updates. You guys are a wonderful family and I'm very glad that you all had a wonderful Christmas and new year. Give Clayton kisses for me.
