We found a wonderful apartment about a 15 minute drive from the base and a 10 min drive from church. It is right next to an amazing park only about a 5 minute walk.. The park has everything!! Ponds, play areas, beach, walking paths, camping, bike trails (you can even rent the bikes), pool, water park....and LOTS more! Our apartment complex is called The Castle Side Park. We live on the right side first floor. It is in a really quiet area because we live across the street from a nursing home. The apartment has a very open floor plan which will be nice when Clayton starts to run around a bit more.
Because we could not bring our car to Japan we had to get a used one once we got onto the island. We found a really nice one that is a mini van...and we mean mini compared to US mini vans. What is really neat is that the back row of seats folds into the floor so that we have a HUGE trunk area. We LOVE IT!
