BACK TO REALITY PART III

5 SEPT Cairo Egypt

-It was amazing seeing the pyramids for the first time. The size is unimaginable without seeing them in real life. We got to go inside one of them and check out a tomb. We snuck a few pictures that are awesome. We also got to go to the sphinx and we just can't think of the words to describe all that we saw.

-On the bus ride to the pyramids people found out Cameron is in the Military and gave Cameron a standing ovation.
*
-The tour guide gave a a free book about Egypt because Tia is pregnant.
*
-The tour guide was the worst that we have ever had. She was more concerned with selling us all stuff then actually giving us our tour.
*
-Sadly Nancy could not get off the ship. So her and Joe ended up getting free spa treatments all day. But, it is sad because Egypt is why they took the cruise. Royal Caribbean and them are trying to reach an agreement on their compensation.
*
-We partied again with the girls until 4:30AM.

*

6 SEPT Day at Sea

*
-Played BINGO again and lost. Surprise Surprise!
*
-Turned in our passports.
*
-We partied with the girls...AGAIN until about 1AM.
*

7 SEPT Athens Greece

*
-We took a tour and saw the stadium which held the first Olympic games. Then we made our way through the city and up to the Acropolis and the Parthenon.
*

-We met some more people today while Cameron took some more AMAZING sunset pictures.
They are Erin and Matthew and they are from Australia.
*

*
- Once again we partied with the girls until 4:30-5:00AM also ran into Erin and Matthew. Somehow Erin managed to make us dance. Which we don’t do!
*

8 SEPT Day at Sea

*
-Today the water was so smooth that it looked like a pane of glass. It was absolutely beautiful. So we sat on the deck of the boat and just watched the water. In the span of an hour we saw 5 sharks, 6 schools of fish, 4 sea turtles and 4 schools of flying fish. It is amazing how calm and blue the water was.

-We went swimming for the first time on the ship.
*

-Today we had the opprotunity to see 2 volcanos erupting. The first one was during the day and it had just starting erupting about that same time. The second one was one that has been erupting for years but what was really cool about it is the fact that we got to see it at night. Which made it so that we could actually see the lave shooting out of the top hundreds of feet into the air. But, our camera was down stair...how sad!

-We partied with the girls until 2AM...they turned us into party animals...LOL!!! -Cameron bought Tia a necklace on the boat.

9 SEPT Capri, Sorrento and Pompeii Italy

-Capri was one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen.

*

-How do you describe the cliffs of Sorrento...think of The Princess Bride and the cliffs of insanity. Simply amazing.
*

*
-Pompeii was unbelievable. The detail inside the houses is something else. It is amazing that everything was preserved this well for thousands of years.
*

-Ann-Marie, TonyAnn and Ilona where on the same tour with us today which was nice.
*
-Cameron spoiled Tia rotten. He bought her 2 necklaces. One from the Cameo factory and the other is handcrafted out of glass from Sorrento. The one from the Cameo factory is of a mother holding a baby. It reminds us of Mary and Jesus.
*
-Last night to party with the girls. We where up until 1ish.

-Renee gave Cameron a gift of 2 pictures. One of both Cameron and Tia the other of just Cameron.

-Sandra also came up to say goodbye and hang out with us for awhile.

-It was sad having to say goodbye to all of our friends. Hopefully we will all keep in touch.
*

10 SEPT Going home...

*

-Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy! Back to real life...it stinks.
*
-We all had to be off the ship at 9AM sadly our flight did not leave until 10PM. It was a long boring day sitting at the airport for 12 hours.
*
-Had horrible pizza for lunch...and in Rome too...how odd!
