We don't know! LOL! Here is what happened..

We went to our doctors appointment and the systems where down. Also, for some reason they could not even find a record of Tia's appointment either in the OBGYN clinic or the RADIOLOGY clinic. (Even though we got a call 2-3 days ago reminding us of the appointment.) On top of that they could not find her records. They where even asking if we could have taken them home on accident...which we did not. But, after having us wait for some time they ended up finding them and then they squeezed us in to see our doctor. (Her name is Kelly Morales.) Since they had no record of her appointment they where unable to do the ultrasound.

However, we where able to hear the heartbeat again. Dr. Morales had a hard time getting it though because the baby would not stay still. She seemed surprised at how much my baby moves already and she said that if it was that hard for us to hear the heartbeat the ultrasound will be an interesting adventure. Our baby’s heart rate was 150. With the baby moving so much no wonder Tia can feel it quite often.

So, now tomorrow we are to attempt to get an appointment with radiology for next week. If they are unable to do it next week then Tia is supposed to call the TriCare office so that we can then go off base for the ultrasound. Because the doctor wants it done next week. Her next appointment with Dr. Morales will then be in 4 weeks. She will also be making the appointment tomorrow since the systems where down.

Since we where unable to officially find out the sex of the baby we decided to test out some old wives tales for fun. Here are the results (we will first explain the old wives tale and then tell the result that we got):

-If the baby’s heart rate is under 140 you are supposed to be having a girl. If it is over 140 you are having a boy. OUR RESAUT IS A BOY.

-If you hold a pendulum over the moms belly and it turns in circles she is having a boy. If the pendulum rocks back and forth you are having a girl. OUR RESAULT IS A BOY.

-If you had little to no morning sickness you are having a boy. If you have lots of morning sickness you are having a girl. OUR RESAULT IS A BOY.

-While looking in a mirror if your left breast is larger then you right you are having a girl. If you right breast is larger then your left you are having a boy. OUR RESAULT IS A GIRL.

-Taking your age at the time you conceived and adding to it the number of the month you conceived if the resulting number is odd you are having a girl and if it is even you are having a boy. OUR RESAULT IS A GIRL.

-If your husband gains weight during the pregnancy you are having a girl. If he does not gain weight you are having a boy. OUR RESAULT IS A BOY.

-The Chinese Lunar Calendar says that we are having a BOY.

That is all of the tests we did. So, now we will wait and see which ones happened to come out true.

Today on the way home from the hospital we stopped by the woods and took some pictures of Tia's belly. Here they are. ENJOY!
You and your belly are SO stinkin cute! Sorry that you didn't get to find out what you're having, but my guess is...it is a baby! LOL Anyways, the anticipation is half the fun, right? Good luck!

You look radiant Tia!! So beautiful!! I am so happy for you and Cameron! I can’t wait to find out what you are having! I’ve been waiting for you to get back from your cruise so I could find out! Lame hospital and their stupid systems!! Grr! BUT here is my advice to you… if you go off base, DON’T, I repeat, DON’T go to Saint Johannas hospital. They don’t get your U/S results to Landstuhl… I’ve been waiting for mine for 18 weeks, and I’m about ready to have this baby. So PLEASE don’t go to their clinic, they are NO GOOD! Just thought I’d let you know.
